High-frequency, low-loss RF switches

29 May 2020 Telecoms, Datacoms, Wireless, IoT

Atlanta Micro has added four new products to its line of switches with support up to 26,5 GHz, useful in a wide range of wireless applications. Each of these new devices is packaged in a 3 mm QFN.

These devices operate from a single positive voltage supply and a single positive voltage control to switch between a low-loss through path or a high isolation state. Offering internal 50 Ω matching, internal decoder circuitry, fast switching speed and low current draw, these new switches provide a compact total PCB footprint with minimal size, weight and power (low SWaP).

Each switch offers low insertion loss, a flat frequency response, high linearity and high isolation over the operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C making them a great addition to any RF system.

• AM6013: DC-20 GHz reflective SP4T switch offering 1,3 dB of loss, 30 dB of isolation and IIP3 of +42 dBm that operates from either a +3,3 V or +5,0 V supply.

• AM6016: DC-26,5 GHz reflective SPDT switch offering 1,2 dB of loss, 30 dB of isolation and IIP3 of +40 dBm that operates from either a +3,3 V or +5,0 V supply.

• AM6029: DC-18 GHz reflective SP4T switch offering 1,5 dB of loss, 35 dB of isolation and IIP3 of +48 dBm that operates from either a +3,3 V or +5,0 V supply.

• AM6031: DC-20 GHz absorptive SPDT switch offering 1,5 dB of loss, 43 dB of isolation and IIP3 of +45 dBm that operates from either a +3,3 V or +5,0 V supply.
