Silicon Recognition, a supplier of ultra-fast devices for pattern recognition, has chosen to implement a version of its zero instruction set computing (ZISC) solution within Actel's A500K050 and A500K130 flash-based FPGA devices. Silicon Recognition's ZISC solution, a proprietary ASIC, is designed to provide the ultra-fast pattern recognition, information classification and matching performance required for next-generation, realtime smart devices, such as security cameras and health-monitoring equipment.
