Wideband monolithic amplifier

Mini Circuits announced the latest addition to its surface mount monolithic amplifier range, the AVA-183A+.

This wideband (5 – 18 GHz) amplifier is packed in a small DQ849 case style, measuring only 3 x 3 mm and exhibiting outstanding gain flatness up to 18 GHz.

It is manufactured using PHEMT technology and is unconditionally stable. Its isolation of 36 dB at 12 GHz enables it to be used as a wideband isolation amplifier or buffer amplifier in a variety of microwave systems. The gain of this device is 13,8 dB and the typical output power is +19 dBm.

The amplifier has an integrated matching, DC block and bias circuit to assist the designer with easy interface to circuits. It works from a single 5 V d.c. supply. Typical applications are military EW and radar systems, microwave radios and satellite systems.
