SIMCom Wireless Solutions’ T900 and T5320E DTU devices have been launched in South Africa by local representative Otto Wireless Solutions, to fit alongside its established portfolio of high-end industrial routers.
T5320 is a WCDMA/HSDPA terminal based on the advanced SIM5320 series module solution which supports HSDPA up to 3,6 Mbps for downlink data transfer. With a wide range of industrial interfaces and extended working temperature range, this reliable terminal is an ideal solution for applications such as remote maintenance and control, environmental monitoring, transportation, security and others.
With a standard serial RS-232 interface, customers can easily implement data flow control, hardware or software flow control according to their own requirements. The device allows quick and easy implementation, reduces customer cost and lowers the entry barriers to a wide range of M2M businesses.
With the growing demand for intelligence, the requirement for an intelligent GSM and WCDMA DTU is on the rise. In addition to the basic functions of a standard wireless modem, more intelligent functions have been included, such as maintaining permanent online connectivity status via an automatic heartbeat, remote access and automatic update by FOTA (firmware over-the-air).
T5320 is a follow up to the SIMCom DTU T900, which was launched some time ago and is based on the reliable module SIM900, supporting quad band GPRS of Class 10 transmission capability and integrated with TCP/IP stacks.
