Measuring 24,4 x 30 x 52 cm, MCL’s field-proven outdoor TWT (travelling-wave tube) amplifier, the MT300, is a 700 W CW (tube output) model covering the Ka-band frequency of 28-30 GHz. The medium-power TWTA is also available for
Ka-band applications at 340 W peak, 500 W peak and 500 W CW.
Some of the device’s features include rugged construction for extreme environments, 60°C operation, software communications configuration for both remote and computer interfaces, continuous attenuator adjustment shown in dB, auto power control and status, and more.
The MT3300 can also be customised to include such options as an L-band RF input, internal lineariser, an internal Ethernet interface, or an interface to a handheld or remote controller. Redundancy can be achieved through 1:1, 1:2 or phase combined systems.
