GPS module

8 June 2011 Telecoms, Datacoms, Wireless, IoT

SIMCom has released a new GPS module designed specifically to complement its range of low-cost GSM devices.

Following the industry trend to bring out a complementary GSM and GPS technology combination, the SIM08 is an 11,5 x 9,5 x 2,3 mm, host-based GPS RF front end. The device is designed as a companion to the SIM900, the flagship low-cost GSM module from SIMCom. The combination is targeted at tracking applications, where its low power consumption opens the door to many battery-powered systems.
