Maxim’s MAX2136 is a digital terrestrial television tuner for ISDB-T and DVB-T applications. Combining low power consumption with enhanced performance, the device achieves a low noise figure of 3,8 dB while consuming only 210 mW. Additionally, the tuner supports the reception of signals as large as 10 dBm while maintaining a sensitivity of -99 dBm. On-chip tracking filters, low-pass filters and LNAs eliminate the need for expensive external components.
The MAX2136 operates from a single 3 V supply and draws 70 mA when receiving ISDB-T 13-segment signals. Power consumption for DVB-T is the same as ISDB-T. The IC is packaged in a lead-free, 5 x 5 mm, 32-pin TQFN, and is fully specified over the -40°C to +85°C temperature range.
