Simcom’s SIM345 is a GSM/GPRS modem module with FTP (file transfer protocol) functionality. It features an embedded TCP/IP protocol stack as well as voice, SMS and data functionality. The modem is a quad-band module covering the 850/900/1800/1900 MHz frequency bands, and supports GPRS multislot class 10 for maximum download speeds of 85,6 Kbps.
The external dimensions of the SIM345 are 58,4 x 32,2 x 3,9 mm, for a weight of 12 g. The SIM345 has low power consumption and operates from a supply voltage of 3,3 to 4,5 V, over the operating temperature range of -30°C to
+80°C. The interface to the external SIM is 3 V or 1,8 V. The SIM345 has a 60 pin board-to-board connector as interface medium and is plug-in compatible with similar modules. The modem is controlled with AT commands and has GCF, CE, RoHS, FCC and PTCRB approvals.
