The SIM340DZ from Simcom is a complete quad-band GSM/GPRS solution in an SMT module which can be embedded in customers’ applications.
Featuring an industry-standard interface, the modem delivers GSM/GPRS 850/900/1800/1900 MHz performance for voice, SMS, data and fax in a small form factor and with low power consumption. With a size of 33 x 33 x 3 mm, it is compact enough to suit the space requirements in industrial applications such as M2M, telemetry and other mobile data communication systems.
The SIM340DZ features an embedded TCP/IP protocol stack and supports GPRS communication per multislot class 10/8 and mobile station class B, with data rates up to 85,6 Kbps. It operates over the supply voltage range from 3,4 to 4,5 V and the temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. Interfaces include external SIM (3 V/ 1,8 V), 2x analog audio, RTC backup, SPI, serial and debug and GPIO.
