The CRO2562A-LF is Z-Communications’ new RoHS compliant VCO (voltage-controlled oscillator) in S-band. It operates at 2500–2625 MHz with a tuning voltage range of 0,5–4,5 V d.c. and features a typical phase noise of -100 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset and a typical tuning sensitivity of 42 MHz/V.
The VCO is designed to deliver a typical output power of 6 dBm at 5 V d.c. supply while drawing 27 mA over the temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. It features typical second harmonic suppression of -18 dBc and comes in Z-Comm’s MINI-16 package measuring 12,7 x 12,7 x 5,6 mm. It is available in tape and reel packaging for production requirements and is suitable for automated surface mount assembly and reflow.
The CRO2562A-LF is well suited for fixed wireless and digital radio applications that require ultra low phase noise performance.
