Wi-Sys Communications has launched the new WS3978, a 40 dB gain, very low noise, high rejection hard mount antenna series. These antennae feature tuned custom ceramic patch elements for maximum signal reception, 15 kV ESD circuit protection and a very low-noise 3-stage LNA circuit. The integrated SAW filters enable them to provide a reliable and clear GPS signal while minimising loss-of-lock in the harshest conditions.
The WS3978 features a very low noise (0,5 dB) 3-stage LNA circuit and a high rejection SAW filter, while the WS3978-HR features a 3-stage LNA circuit and a dual SAW, very high rejection 'anti-jamming' filter with a total noise figure of 3,1 dB.
Available in an all-plastic, non-corrosive low profile package for vehicle mount or with a cone-shaped radome cover for fixed installations, the antennae are well suited to GPS Timing and Tracking applications with long cable runs.
