A major benefit of this DF antenna is the compact size and low weight. It fits into a container of 1500 x 600 x 600 mm and weighs 44,5 kg, which allows for transport in a small vehicle.

The electrical Tactical & Transportable Direction Finding Antenna covers the 20 MHz to 3 GHz spectrum. The system is modular to suit the clients' requirements. The antenna elements, arms and mast sections can be disassembled easily by using thread connections and toggle latches. The direction finding antenna connections between the mast sections are made with quick-release blind mating (BMA) connectors.
The antenna is environmentally tested according to MIL-Std 810E for vibration, mechanical shock, high temperature storage, low temperature storage, temperature and humidity, salt/fog, rain and dust. This product forms part of a range of direction finding (DF) and electronic warfare (EW) antennas that Poynting has available.
