OKI Semiconductor's Bluetooth modules are ready-made, functional 2,4 GHz Bluetooth data/voice communication systems developed for shortest possible design-in time. Conforming to Bluetooth Version 1.1, the small form factor module (18 x 39 mm) integrates Oki's Bluetooth chipset, Bluetooth software (up to HCI) and a 20-pin connector.
These modules, which provide Class 2 output power, are offered in two variations: the MK70110 with coaxial connector; and the MK70120 with on-board chip antenna.
The BT-MCK (module control kit) is a cost-effective board with a socket for piggy-backing the Bluetooth module. Connected to a host PC, the MCK allows evaluation and functional verification of module functions. It is not designed for the purpose of software development. The Blutooth module is not included. The MCK includes: RS232C serial port; USB port; power source switch - external power or USB bus power; earphone and mic jack; HCI select switch - USB or RS232C; reset button; PCM companding law switch - A-Law or µ-Law codec; power input jack.
A system development kit is also available. OKI's BT-SDK features: external interfacing (bus, general or UART, USB, JTAG); on-board voice codec; software (up to HCI); on board memories - 8 Mbit Flash ROM, 4 Mbit SRAM, 64 Kbit EEPROM.
