Clark Masts of Isle of Wight, England, has introduced the XT Series of very heavy-duty telescopic masts. The masts are constructed from aluminium alloy tubing, which makes them lightweight with respect to their lifting capacity. Telescoping sections are keyed to each other to prevent relative rotation during extension. When fully extended an additional internal key system enhances torsional strength.
Masts are available with extended heights of from 6 to 18 m and will carry a maximum headload of from 130 to 60 kg. This family of masts is ideally suited to carry microwave or small radar antennas and many other types of apparatus requiring a high degree of stability for both civilian and military applications.
