The TMT-2200S is the latest soldering station to be released by Thermaltronics. This system responds to the thermal demands of each solder joint as it is based on Curie heat technology, but now also combined with a heavy-duty soldering system. This allows it to adjust the power to the soldering iron instantaneously. Therefore, this soldering system will meet the exact requirements of the substrate component and solder material.
Features of the TMT-2200S include dual ports with simultaneous heat-up, high thermal recovery and performance, as well as a power supply with a built-in LCD display. There are two distinct operating modes where the station can be used as a dual-port system which supports using the K, P and S series cartridges, and it can also use the corresponding desoldering and tweezer kits. As both ports operate simultaneously, this system becomes an ideal repair and rework tool.
The second operating mode combines the power of the dual-port system into a single handpiece, thereby turning the TMT-2200S into a powerful heavy-duty soldering iron. Another benefit is that no calibration procedure is necessary, and no specific operator training is required to use the system.
