Erni's new generation of 90° angle D-Sub connectors has been developed especially for press-fit technology applications. Soldering is no longer required; instead this process is replaced by heat-free, safe, and efficient population using conventional flat press-fitting tools. The special housing reliably supports the angled pins whilst press-fitting is in process.
The 90° generation is available in the usual pin number configurations (9, 15, 25, 37), in standard or Euro style, complete with integrated press-fitted ground clip as well as with various options. Due to the short pin length and solderless press-fitting technology, even plug-in boards featuring subsidiary board and underlying boards can be populated in a safe and efficient manner.
