90° hybrid RF couplers

6 August 2014 Telecoms, Datacoms, Wireless, IoT

AVX has introduced two new wideband, 3 dB, 90° hybrid couplers: a 2100 MHz device for 1,5 – 2,1 GHz performance and a 2700 MHz device for 2,1 – 2,7 GHz.

Based on AVX’s patented MLO technology, which enables the integration of high-Q passives in low-cost, high-density interconnect components, the new PC Series power couplers exhibit excellent isolation and high reliability per JEDEC and MIL standards.

Expansion matched to printed circuit boards and supplied in surface mountable 2025 size LGA packaging, the multifunctional, low-profile couplers also exhibit low parasitics, efficient heat dissipation and excellent solderability. Measuring 6,35 x 5,08 x 1,0 mm, they are rated for 30 W maximum power handling and operating temperatures spanning -55°C to +85°C.

The PC series is ideal for use in attenuators, phase shifters, LNAs, balance amplifiers and signal distribution circuitry for mobile communications applications such as cellular phones, pagers, distributed control systems, global positioning systems, vehicle location systems and wireless LAN.
