Measurement Computing’s new WiFi-501 temperature data logging sensor measures the temperature of its environment while transmitting data wirelessly via 802.11b compliant Wi-Fi to a PC, where it is viewed using the included software. The device also has a built-in display for real-time viewing of data.
The WiFi-501 features a rechargeable battery and onboard memory. If it temporarily loses connectivity with the network, it will log readings until it is able to communicate again with the PC application.
The included software allows for setup, data logging and data review. Setup features include sensor name, °C/°F, sample rate and high/low alarms. Once configured, logged data can be viewed via the graphing tool or exported into Excel.
