knitter-switch has released a new surface-mount detect switch, designed to satisfy a wide variety of applications where any kind of physical movement recognition is important. This includes use as a position switch for movable parts, door contacts and detecting the presence or removal of a mechanical part in contact with the switch, as well as security and alarm applications.
The new DTS 11 LCP 0.7 is a robust detect switch with an anti-tamper contact mechanism making it suitable for security applications. It features normally-closed SPST momentary function contacts, requires a maximum operating force of 35 gf and has a total travel of >1,5 mm. The switch exhibits a lifetime of 100 000 cycles with load and an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
