Custom Printers has released the latest generation of its A4 thermal printers with upgraded processing capabilities to offer enhanced performance as a kiosk printer. The KPM216H II’s integrated Web service enables remote monitoring for complete diagnosis of the printer’s status in real-time. With integrated client mailing, the printer is further able to send an automatic e-mail to inform the person responsible of a possible failure or end of paper situation.
An innovation incorporated in the integrated Web server is the ability to upload and update fonts and logos directly on the printer, via the Internet, without requiring any additional software or a logo and font editor. Through the dedicated Web page, a tSrue type font can be selected from the Windows folder of a PC and loaded onto the memory card or Flash memory of the printer. The same can be done with any logo or image in bmp format.
A high printing quality of 300 dpi (11,8 dots/mm) can be achieved with this printer, at a speed of more than 180 mm/sec. The printer has RS232, USB and Ethernet interfaces and the capability to print 1D or 2D barcodes. Ejecting and retracting speeds are up to 1000 mm/sec and European and international fonts are enabled. Moreover, the printer can handle two different paper rolls using a dual feed and can also operate in the vertical position.
For those applications not requiring ejecting and retracting functions, the new Light version is available with a compact footprint. Equipped with RS232 and USB interfaces, this model prints at 180 mm/sec in 200 dpi mode.
