Dual-channel 8-bit ADCs

18 March 2009 Analogue, Mixed Signal, LSI

Maxim has introduced a pin-compatible family of dual-channel, 8-bit, 65/100/130 MSps ADCs in the form of the MAX19505, MAX19506 and MAX19507. The devices consume only 43 mW (MAX19505), 57 mW (MAX19506), and 74 mW (MAX19507) of analog power per channel. Dynamic performance boasts 49,8 dBFS SNR and 69 dBc SFDR at 70 MHz. The devices include a self-sensing, analog supply regulator that allows the user to operate the parts from 1,8 V, 2,5 V or 3,3 V analog supplies with no external regulator. In addition, they feature single-ended or differential clock inputs and analog inputs with a 0,4 V to 1,4 V input common-mode range to support AC- or DC-coupled inputs without an external AC-coupling capacitor. Integrated CMOS output-termination resistors allow users to program the CMOS output resistance, making external damping resistors unnecessary.
