With the new B84143A*R106 series of three-line power line filters, Epcos has introduced a compact, lightweight and cost-effective standard solution built especially for the requirements of machinery. The filters are designed for a rated voltage of 520 V a.c. and cover currents ranging from 10 to 100 A. The entire series is equipped on both sides with finger-safe terminal blocks.
The new types can be deployed in a wide spectrum of applications such as elevators, pumps, power supplies, ventilation systems, machine tools and textile machines, conveyor systems and more. In brief, they can be used wherever frequency converters are operated with power rectifiers. In tests conducted by the accredited Epcos EMC laboratory with typical frequency converters, EN 50370-1 C3 limits were not exceeded with 50 m motor cables and EN 50370-1 C2 limits were not exceeded with 25 m motor cables.
