Lightning protection components are essential for protecting high-cost radio base stations against over-voltages. Coaxial surge arresters from Rosenberger - integrated directly into the cabling system from the antenna down to the base station - safeguard the system and provide reliable deflection in case of over-voltages, eg, by lightning strikes.
The company's wideband surge arresters with N interfaces are designed for the frequency range from 0,8 to 2,5 GHz and are ideally suited to WiMAX and WLAN applications.
Due to the design of the new generation of arresters, specific orientation or 'directed' mounting is not required. Their IP 68 protection means that they are suitable for outdoor systems. The product range includes wideband surge arresters with and without gas discharge tubes.
