It is a fact that the soldering process produces noxious fumes and gases. At the very least, this is unpleasant, but unfortunately it can become much worse, resulting in long-term health problems and legal implications. The Weller zero smog systems put an end to alleviate this pollution right at the source - the soldering tip.
Weller has designed the Weller FE irons with a built-in tube positioned directly over the solder joint. Specially developed fume extraction irons are available to operate with the zero smog systems WFE, WFE P, WFE 10, WFE 35. Attachments are also available to add fume extraction capability to standard irons.
The WFE 4S is a flat suction solder fume extractor for cleansing polluted air from drying parts and adhesives.
