The need to speed up the supply of prototype electronic circuit boards for various electronic systems has been met by Cape-based Cirtech Electronics, which recently launched a new service called Circuit Express.

Increasing pressure on the electronics design engineer towards shorter product development cycles requires the rapid availability of prototype components such as circuit boards. Many manufacturers of finished electrical or electronic goods cannot justify the capital expense of dedicated prototyping hardware, to meet the evolving development needs. The answer lies in outsourcing.
Although outsourced prototype services are not new to the industry, the Circuit Express process boasts the latest generation technology with a much shortened turnaround time. This means, according to Cirtech sales executive, Marcel Henry, that clients who get a job in the queue by early morning should receive the finished product by close of day, depending on the complexity of the design. Circuit Express boasts German technology and is able to manufacture single-, double- and multiple-layer boards in the shortest timeframe, including small production runs for limited release.
