The Datalogic Skorpio is a rugged mobile computer particularly suitable for mobile commerce solutions in the retail environment, both on store shelves and in the stock room. With good ergonomics, the Skorpio reduces operator fatigue yet remains reliable and robust.
The Skorpio system architecture is based on Intel X-Scale processors coupled with the latest release of Windows CE. Its wireless communication capabilities (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi) enable fast transactions and complete interaction with the information system. It has a large high visibility colour graphic display with touchscreen.
According to the manufacturer, developers can create and deploy single or multiple data collection applications rapidly exploiting the MCL Collection, while IT managers can centralise the management of mobile devices revising configurations, synchronising software and updating firmware and drivers remotely using the Wavelink Avalanche software.
