Spectrum Control has expanded its product offering of filtered Combo-D-Sub connectors. The new range offers superior filtering capabilities with high insertion loss, provided by coaxial feed through capacitors, into the GHz range. A more economical version filtered with chip capacitors of 100 nF maximum per line is also available to address the needs for filtering in the lower kHz range.
These connectors are designed for use in a variety of applications, particularly 48 V d.c. power entry for telecom systems such as base stations, switching and transmission equipments as well as industrial, medical, computer and power supplies. This series provides intermateability with most commercially-available unfiltered connectors. Custom-specific designs incorporating mixed filter values and design flexibility can be offered.
Rated at 40 A and 200 V d.c., the integrated high strength potting protects the ceramic elements and provides test voltage capability up to 707 V d.c. Standard sizes such as 3W3, 5W5, 9W4 and 24W7 are available. Custom designs and coaxial inserts are available upon request.
In addition, the company offers a range of filtered connectors such as: filtered D-Sub high density adaptors for VGA-interfaces. D-sub-filtered adaptor for 2,048 Mb interfaces. D-Sub-filtered connectors for high voltage applications up to 1400 V d.c. test voltage.
