3 V driver amp for WLAN

22 November 2000 Analogue, Mixed Signal, LSI

RF Micro Devices has introduced the RF2367 - a low noise CDMA/TDMA/GSM PA driver amplifier it says has a very high dynamic range. The RF2367 has an overall frequency range of 150-2500 MHz and is optimised for operation in the DCS and PCS bands (1700-2000 MHz) for applications where low transmit noise power is of concern. In addition to its use as a DCS/PCS driver amplifier, the new IC can also be used for a variety of applications including WLAN or other wireless systems in the 2,4 GHz ISM band.

Operating from a single 3 V (2,5-6,0 V) power supply, the RF2367 features adjustable bias current, a high intercept point and power down control. The device's performance at 1880 MHz includes 21,5 dB gain, +24 dBm output IP3 and a noise figure of only 2,2 dB. It comes in a SOT23-6 package.
