Lightning protection components are essential for protecting high-cost radio base stations against over-voltages.
Coaxial surge arresters from Rosenberger – integrated directly into the cabling system from the antenna down to the base station – are designed to safeguard systems and provide reliable deflection in case of over-voltages, e.g. by lightning strokes.
In addition to its wide product range of 7-16 wideband and gas-filled surge arrestors, Rosenberger has developed a completely new generation of surge arrestors for easy mounting. The advanced design eliminates the orientation required when installing most other surge arresters.
The arrestors cover a frequency range from DC up to 2,5 GHz with excellent return and insertion loss, low intermodulation and high discharge current. They are waterproof according to IP68 and can also be supplied in waterproof form when unmated, making them applicable for outdoor systems.
