19" Electronics Packaging: Standards Overview

28 June 2006 Technical Literature

Schroff has combined many important standards of 19" electronics packaging in its 19" Electronics Standards Brochure. With this, developers and project engineers can inform themselves about the most important IEC standards. The contents of these standards are represented in the 36 page overview which briefly explains the relationship between various individual mechanical elements. Starting with the basic measurements, all essential details are described of subracks, indoor and outdoor cabinets and cases via the internal assembly dimensions of boards, connectors, backplanes, electromagnetic shielding and other safety measures to mechanical, climatic, EMC and earthquake tests, as well as the required regulations for protection and the thermal management.
