Locally developed GNSS evaluation board

28 February 2022 Telecoms, Datacoms, Wireless, IoT

RF Design proudly announced the launch of its locally developed ZEP-F9P-SMART-1 GNSS SMART evaluation board, attractively priced at R3995. The first version on sale is the ZED-F9P, with other variants due to become available on request shortly.

The ZED-F9 SMART board allows efficient evaluation of the u-blox F9 high-precision positioning module. The ZED-F9 provides multi-band GNSS positioning and comes with built-in RTK technology providing centimetre level accuracy to users.

The evaluation board’s built-in USB interface provides both power supply and high-speed data transfer and eliminates the need for an external power supply. It can be used with a PDA or a notebook PC, making it a perfect companion through all stages of design-in. The board can be connected to an external radio/Wi-Fi module to provide wireless connectivity capabilities for common use cases.

The ZED-F9 Installer software includes u-center, which is an interactive tool for configuration, testing, visualisation and data analysis of positioning chips and modules. u-center provides useful assistance during all phases of a system integration project.

The ZED-F9 SMART evaluation board can be purchased online by visiting www.dataweek.co.za/*feb22-rfd1 and a product sheet can be accessed at www.dataweek.co.za/*feb22-rfd2
