DDZ and Ajani create opportunities for Sol-Tech students

By Esthé Fourie, marketing coordinator, DDZ Technologies.
At the end of 2020, DDZ Technologies had the opportunity to meet with the head of Ajani, a private company that works within Sol-Tech.
In December 2020 and January 2021 we needed some temporary workers to help with an influx of production work, and we contacted Ajani to help us out with Sol-Tech students that were looking for a holiday job in a technical environment.
Sol-Tech is a privately owned professional training college that specialises in technical courses and the development of critical and rare technical skills such as for millwrights, diesel mechanics, electricians and more.
After meeting with Ajani, learning more about what Sol-Tech is about and touring the brand new campus, we were inspired by what they do and what they have to offer, and as a company that specialises in the technical and electronic industry, DDZ wanted to get involved and build a relationship with Sol-Tech.
Dirk Du Preez, the owner of DDZ Technologies, made the decision to sponsor our small-volume production line, the Autotronik BA389, together with a fully automated screen printer and WEC board handling conveyors.
We feel that, by sponsoring equipment, the students will have access to improved practical learning, and we are able to assist them in growing and developing their study programme. We hope that by sponsoring this machine we also create a new interest among the youth of South Africa to explore this niche industry of electronics manufacturing.
This is a new type of machinery for them, but this machine works similarly to a CNC machine which they are familiar with. We chose a facility with a cause close to our hearts, and we are grateful to be able to help the youth of South Africa to achieve their study dreams and goals.
