Vicor's family of 24 V input 2nd-generation high power density DC-DC converters is now complete. Design of the final 11 modules - joining the 13 released earlier - was accomplished using Vicor's module design centre - VDAC (Vicor Design Assistance Computer). These modules are designed for communications, process control, defence and distributed power systems applications.
All of the converters operate from 24 V nominal input (with an input range of 18 to 36 V) and have power densities up to 4,82 W/cm3.
This family complies with most agency approval specifications including UL, CSA, TUV, BABT, CE and VDE. The 24 V family comprises three package sizes (maxi, mini and micro), each offering output voltages of 2, 3,3, 5, 12, 15, 24, 28 and 48 V d.c. The family offers output powers from 50 to 400 W.
