Single-chip security plus RF transmitter solution

Microchip's 18-pin SOIC rfHCS362G and 20-pin SSOP rfHCS362F wireless encoders combine a built-in RF transmitter with the highly secure KEELOQ access control system. These are 2,1 V single-chip authentication devices that require minimal external components. They offer a 'no code development required' system solution and include a programmable 32-bit serial number and two 64-bit user-programmable encryption keys. KEELOQ code hopping technology eliminates threat of capture and re-send schemes. The rfHCS362G has an integrated 310/480 MHz amplitude shift key (ASK) transmitter while the rfHCS362F provides a frequency shift key (FSK) transmitter in the same frequency range. Both feature adjustable output power and a voltage-controlled oscillator. The devices support button queuing, Manchester and PWM encoding, and timing output bits to determine how long a button was pressed.
