EPCOS’s new advanced metallised polyester film capacitors (MKT), cast in a plastic case and with 4-pin terminals, are now available. These capacitors were developed for the automotive market and have much tougher mechanical and electrical properties than standard MKT capacitors. They are also available in SMD versions and are particularly well suited for all applications operating under rigorous environmental conditions.
Claimed to be highly robust in mechanical and electrical terms, the 4-pin version is for plug-in assembly and the low profile SMD version is designed for the next generation of controllers.
