Centurion Micro Electronics - supplier and developer of industrial computing products
27 March 2002
News
Centurion MicroElectronics (CME) focuses on industrial PCs and all related equipment. Its offering includes single-board PC cards from 386SX types to dual-P3 and -P4 cards from various suppliers as well as a wide range of enclosures, flat panel displays, flash disks, and input/output cards for measurement and control applications; also, RS485 remote control and sensing modules, and a family of 80188-based PLC devices.
CME says it can provide a complete solution by selecting products from more than one supplier if necessary. Its support starts with providing the best combination of CPU cards, chassis or enclosures, power supplies, displays and I/O cards for its client's particular requirements. If one needs something unique, which is not available as a standard product, CME can develop this special product according to customer requirements.
In order for its clients to obtain optimum quality and value for money as well as a wide range of product options, CME carefully selects its suppliers, who are all ISO9001 accredited. The majority of these suppliers are based in Taiwan. They include IEI, ICP DAS, Aaeon, Sandisk, Arbor, Axiom, Digital Logic, Real Time Devices and others.
Centurion MicroElectronics is also working to create a range of South African developed single board PC products. So far it has developed three industrial 386SX-based CPU cards and PC104 Ethernet, digital I/O and a quad serial communications card. It is also working on a PC104 V90 modem card. Any of these cards can be tailored or combined to fulfil a client's needs in an optimum way.
