Fujitsu Components recently introduced the low profile FTR-F1 and FTR-H1 relays in order to meet on-going customer demand for both the reduction of equipment size and the increase of relay count. The new devices are pin-compatible with the established generation of VS, VB, VSB and FBR600 series relays but offer dramatically reduced height, allowing relays to be interchanged without the need to change the PCB and undertake a time-consuming and costly re-approval process.

Additionally, with a power consumption of only 400 mW, the FTR-K1 16 A is very efficient. A 16 A contact current rating ensures that it is capable of continuously switching most load configurations, whether resistive, highly inductive or capacitive, over a long life cycle. The relay is ideally suited for use in a host of industrial control equipment and consumer appliances.
