The Heavycon Advance plug-in connector housing with screw-type locking from Phoenix Contact is particularly suitable for feed-through holes in panels, in which the connection is seldom plugged. The otherwise standard mounted housing with locking clips is not used and is replaced by two simply mounted flanges. This involves savings of approximately 30%.
The housings are compatible with all contact inserts and panel cutouts in the Heavycon B Series range and meet the requirements of IP67 protective enclosures. They are available in three versions for metric cable connectors: a grey standard housing for meeting the tough requirements in the automotive and machine industry, housings for meeting higher environmental requirements, as well as EMC housings for sensitive interfaces, designed to screen off electromagnetic fields.
The Heavycon contact inserts that use the 'Quix' quick-release method of connection for 500 V/16 A are available with 6, 10, 16 and 24 poles in a pin-and-socket version. The screw, crimp and spring connections are compatible with the market standard and fit into any standard connector housing in the B or E type series. A low-priced plug code that uses a red code profile protects against plugging in any wrong plugs that may look alike.
