On request from the customer, Phoenix Contact is able to supply special rail-mounted electronic housings for printed circuit boards from just a few square centimetres in size up to Eurocard size. Each housing within the company's extensive range of standard products can be modified to meet individual customer specifications. Special cable entry cutouts can be made for example by mechanical processing or by using specific custom-made tools. Lettering and printing are also supplied.
Apart from modifying standard housings, special custom-designed housings can also be developed. Once the specification requirements have been presented and a lot size that is economically agreed between both parties, Phoenix Contact will undertake the design and manufacture of these tailor-made electronic housings. For best results, co-operation between the housing manufacturer and the electronics developer should begin as early as possible to ensure that the design of an innovative housing is perfectly matched to its function.
