SynQor has introduced the new NQ90, non-isolated half-brick DC-DC converter.
The NQ90 family has a wide input voltage range from 9 to 90 V and an output range of 0-90 V d.c., making it ideal for electric vehicle (EV) battery management and charging as well as charge station voltage management.
The NiQor half-brick family can be configured to buck the input voltage down to a lower voltage or boost the input voltage up to a higher voltage using a single external resistor. The half-brick form factor is small and has an ultra high efficiency of up to 97% at full rated load current. Very little heatsinking is required for this device, saving on space and cost in a design.
When looking at reliability, the NQ90 has a field demonstrated mean time before failure (MTBF) of more than 3,58 million hours, making it one of the most reliable on the market today.
