Gigavac has released its largest DC contactor to date, with the HX460 that will switch 1000 A at 1500 V d.c. It is designed for high-voltage power conversion equipment such as photovoltaic, inverters, battery packs, DC combiner boxes and other DC industrial systems.
Isolation performance is 10 kV withstand between open contacts for critical safety applications. The SPDT auxiliary contacts are mechanically linked for critical safety applications, to provide reliable indication of the status of the main contacts.
Hermetically sealed and designed to meet UL1604 for hazardous locations, the contactor exceeds IP67-69 specifications and ensures no exposed arcing to open air environments.
