Darren Nicholls, Keysight Technologies’ EMEAI marketing industry manager for aerospace and defence.
Darren Nicholls, EMEAI marketing industry manager for aerospace and defence at Keysight Technologies, a leading supplier of test and measurement solutions, gave a presentation on how new architectures and capabilities are helping to solve the growing characterisation challenges of various applications such as radar, electronic warfare, signals intelligence (SIGINT) and satellite technology. In order to keep up with the rapid pace of development, the trend is towards software defined instruments in both modular, handheld and benchtop formats to simulate and measure very complex signals and to capture and analyse high bandwidth data.
Concilium, Keysight’s authorised partner in sub-Saharan Africa, also displayed a range of handheld and benchtop solutions that typify the emerging architectures, which generated a lot of interest from the attendees, according to Concilium’s marketing director, Steve Alves.
