When an application calls for a current sensing resistor with multiple options, Ohmite’s LVM series of metal chip resistors is available in a range of sizes, tolerances and TCR (temperature coefficient of resistance). Even the smallest 0603 part features an overload rating of five times the rated wattage for 5 seconds.
Designed in surface-mount technology for automatic insertion, these lead-free resistors are ideal for power management applications, switching power supplies, over-current protection in audio applications, voltage regulation modules (VRM), DC-DC converters, battery packs, chargers and adaptors.
Power rating options for the LVM series are 0,125 W, 0,5 W and 1,0 W; resistance ranges are from 7 m to 100 m (depending on power rating); TCR is a maximum of 100 ppm/°C; and tolerances are ±0,5%, ±1%, ±2% or ±5%.
