A new infrared detector from Hamamatsu Photonics – the L13201MA LED – emits at 4,3 μm, the ideal wavelength for measuring CO2 via the scattering/ absorption spectroscopy method. Offering radiant flux the manufacturer claims is three times greater than any other CO2 LED on the market, this high output is achieved by employing unique crystal growth and wafer process technology.
With the long life that is synonymous with solid state technology, low power consumption and high stability, this LED marries with the new P13243 InAsSb sensor to offer an extremely versatile CO2 detection and measurement solution.
