3-phase military power supply

24 February 2016 Power Electronics / Power Management

SynQor announced a new addition to its line of military-grade power systems that are designed for the extreme environmental and demanding electrical conditions of military/aerospace applications.

The MPS-4000 will accept a 3-phase, 115 Vrms input voltage and provide up to 4000 W at 30 V d.c. Other available output voltages include 24 V, 28 V and 48 V. Designed and manufactured in SynQor’s US facilities, it complies with a wide range of military standards, including MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-1275, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-1399.

Housed in a 1U high, 19” rackmount system and weighing 12,7 kg, the MPS-4000 has power conversion efficiency of 90%. It can provide a peak output power of 5250 W for 15 seconds, and up to 8 units can be operated in parallel for a combined capability of 32 kW (42 kW peak).

The power supply has an Ethernet Interface that adds a web interface and an SNMP interface for control, configuration and reporting. There is also a Battle Short mode for continuous operation during over-temperature events.
