To provide the most cost effective option for regions where only 230 V a.c. operation is required, Mean Well has created a 180 – 295 V a.c. variant of its PLM-40 (110 – 295 V a.c.) LED power supply. The new model - PLM-40E – has the same physical footprint (175 x 42 x 24 mm) as the PLM40 and sources the same 40 Watts of total power.
Incorporating active power factor correction, the new model provides a constant-current output at 350, 500, 700, 1050, 1400 or 1750 mA. It is rated for operation in temperatures between -30°C and +40°C and comes with a two-year warranty and various international type approvals.
