LED power supplies with PFC

25 November 2015 Power Electronics / Power Management

Two new power factor corrected (PFC) families have been added to Mean Well’s lineup of power supplies for LED lighting requirements.

For cost constrained luminaires, the 100 W ELG-100 joins the previously released ELG-150 (150 W). Over and above providing multiple models with different output voltages, this range caters for dimming via adjustable constant voltage, 3-in-1 dimming and DALI. With 12 V, 24 V, 36 V, 42 V, 48 V and 54 V output options, the ELG-100 series is relevant for street lighting, harbour lighting, bay lighting, floodlighting and more.

For higher-end systems, the HLG-240H-C provides a constant-current, high-voltage output rated to 250 W. Its fanless, high-reliability design allows it to operate in ambient temperatures between -40°C and +70°C. This product offers models with various functions, like adjustable output current, 3-in-1 dimming, smart timer dimming and others, and is ideal for those LED lighting applications which require 700 mA, 1050 mA, 1400 mA, 1750 mA or 2100 mA output current. Suitable applications include LED street lighting, fishing lamps, harbour lighting and greenhouse lighting.
