NI seminar on building smarter machines
12 August 2015
News
In an effort to build smarter machines and manufacturing equipment, machine builders are finding ways to improve their control architectures with embedded systems that help them optimise performance and implement advanced control and monitoring tasks.
National Instruments will be hosting a seminar to provide insight into the challenges machine builders face today, demonstrate proven methods and solutions, and explore the latest technologies and advances that are helping innovative machine builders get ahead of the competition, including:
• Accuracy and flexibility through tight vision (including 3D) and motion integration.
• The role of robotics in smart machines.
• Optimising energy efficiency.
• Machine monitoring.
• Integrating .m, .mdl and real-time hardware for math, signal processing and controls.
• Utilising a unified tool-chain for design, prototyping and deployment.
• The impact of graphical system design and customisable off-the-shelf hardware.
Additional topics discussed will include environmental considerations, analysis tools, high-performance processing devices, network and data storage, and simulation and modelling tools.
The seminar is targeted at engineers and scientists responsible for or exposed to monitoring or control of industrial or high-performance machines, including machine builders/designers, maintenance and reliability engineers, process and control engineers, and technology managers.
It will take place in Midrand on 20 August and in Cape Town on 1 September.
