Model WS, a new range of wirewound resistors from Bourns, is an axial leaded series designed to withstand higher power surges.
The parts are rated from 1 W to 8 W and have a resistance range of 15 Ω to 3,3 kΩ. Designed to operate at extreme temperatures – from -55°C to +200°C – they can withstand surges according to the 1,2/50 μs voltage waveform described in IEC 61000-4-5.
These RoHS-compliant resistors are targeted at consumer and industrial electronics manufacturers and provide circuit conditioning in such applications as smart meters, white goods, power supplies and renewable energy.
