Cape Town-based contract electronics manufacturer, ZYTEQ Technologies, has achieved two significant milestones as part of its plans to lay a strong foundation for growth. Having only been trading since June 2014, the company secured ISO 9001 (2008) certification in December of the same year, followed a month later by Level 3 BBBEE verification.
For its ISO 9001 certification, ZYTEQ chose to partner with Germany’s Dekra due to its international stature and the respect commanded by the Dekra mark in the South African market. This will no doubt provide valuable peace of mind to ZYTEQ’s customers that it has the quality management systems in place to provide reliable and consistently high-quality products.
The manufacturer’s BBBEE status was secured following its very first verification audit. The company’s management is particularly proud of this accomplishment since it elected to be audited according to the demanding Ownership and Management Control elements, which are expected to become compulsory in the next release of the BBBEE codes later this year.
